Chapter 1 |
| |
1. |
I curse the Demons. |
2. |
I declare myself a worshipper of God, a supporter of his Prophet (Zoroaster), hostile to the Demons, fond of the Lord’s teaching, a praiser of the Holy Scripture, a worshipper of the Holy Scripture.
3. |
I ascribe all good to the Lord God, 'and all the best,' truth-endowed, splendid, awareness-endowed, whose is the cow, whose is truth, whose is the light, '
4. |
may whose blissful areas be filled with light'.
5. |
I choose the good Holy Devotion for myself; let her be mine.
6. |
I renounce the theft and robbery of property, and the damaging and plundering of any settlement who worships God.
7. |
I want freedom of movement and freedom of dwelling for those with homesteads, to those who dwell upon this earth with their cattle.
8. |
With reverence for Holiness, and offerings to God, I vow this:
9. |
I shall nevermore damage or plunder any settlement that worships God, even if I have to risk life and limb.
10. |
I reject the authority of the Demon(s), the wicked, no-good, lawless, evil-knowing, the most demon-like of beings, the foulest of beings, the most damaging of beings.
11. |
I reject the Demons and their comrades,
12. |
I reject the Demons and their comrades;
13. |
I reject any who harm beings.
14. |
I reject them with my thoughts, words, and deeds.
15. |
I reject them publicly.
16. |
Even as I reject the head authorities, so too do I reject the hostile followers of the demons.
17. |
As the Lord God taught his Prophet (Zoroaster) at all discussions, at all meetings, at which the Lord and his Prophet (Zoroaster) conversed;
18. |
As the Lord God taught his Prophet (Zoroaster) at all discussions, at all meetings, at which the Lord and his Prophet (Zoroaster) conversed –
19. |
Even as his Prophet (Zoroaster) rejected the authority of the Demons, so I also reject, as a worshipper of God and supporter of his Prophet, the authority of the Demons;
20. |
Even as he, the truth-endowed his Prophet, has rejected them.
21. |
I believe in the sacred waters, the belief of the sacred plants, the belief of the well-made (Original) Cow;
22. |
I believe in the Lord God who created the cow and the righteously-endowed Man;
23. |
I believe in the Prophet, the belief of his beloved patrons,
24. |
I believe in both the End of Days (Judgment Day) and the saviour (messiah);
25. |
I believe in the coming saviour of the world (messiah) who shall fulfil destiny and will be righteously-endowed --
26. |
I am a worshipper of God and of these beliefs and teachings.
27. |
I profess myself a worshipper of God, a Zoroastrian, having vowed it and professed it.
28. |
I pledge myself to the well-thought thought,
29. |
I pledge myself to the well-spoken word,
30. |
I pledge myself to the well-done action.
31. |
I pledge myself to the true religion of God,
32. |
which causes the attack to be put off and weapons put down;
33. |
which upholds divine grace and the endowment of truth;
34. |
which of all religions that exist or shall be, is the greatest, the best, and the most beautiful: Spirit, Zoroastrian.
35. |
I ascribe all good to the Lord God.
36. |
This is the creed of the true religion of God. |
