Inanna placed the shugurra, the crown of the steppe, on her head. |

She went to the sheepfold, to the shepard. |
|

She leaned back against the apple tree. |
|
4. |
When she leaned against the apple tree, her vulva was wonderous to behold. |
|
5. |
Rejoicing at her wounderous vulva, the young woman Inanna applauded herself. |
|
6. |
She said: "I, the Queen of Heaven, shall visit the God of Wisdom. |
|
7. |
I shall go to Abzu, the sacred place in Eridu. |
|
8. |
I shall honor Enki, the God of Wisdom in Eridu. |
|
9. |
I shall utter a prayer to Enki (patron god of music) at the deep sweet waters." |
|
10. |
Inanna set out by herself. |
|
11. |
When she was within a short distance of the Abzu, |
|
12. |
He whose ears are wide open, |
|
13. |
He who knows the me, the holy laws of heaven and earth, |
|
14. |
He who knows the heart of the gods, |
|
15. |
Enki (Ea), the God of Wisdom, who knows all things, |
|
16. |
Called to his servant, Isimud: "Come, my sukkal, |
|

When Inanna enters the holy shrine Give her butter cake to eat. |
