Chapter 11  
     
1.
Also Anath goes And treads every mountain to the midst of the Earth.
 
2.
Every hill to the midst of the fields.
 
3.
She comes to the goodness of the land of Deber, The beauty of the fields of Shechelmemet.
 
4.
She comes upon Baal prostrate on the earth.
 
5.
For clothing She is covered with a doubled cloak.
 
6.
The mountain in mournig She roams.
 
7.
In grief, through the forest.
 
8.
She cuts cheek and chin.
 
9.
She lacerates Her forearms.
 
10.
She plows lake a garden Her chest, Like a vale She lacerates the back.
 
11.
"Baal is dead!  
12.
Woe to the people of Dagon's son!
 
13.
Woe to the multitudes of Athar-Baal!
 
14.
Let us go down into the earth."
 
15.
With Her goes down the Torch of the Gods, Shapash.
 
16.
Until She is sated with weeping, She drinks tears like wine.
 
17.
Aloud She cries to the Torch of the Gods, Shapash: "Load Aliyan Baal on to Me!"
 
18.
The Torch of the Gods, Shapash, hearkens.
 
19.
She lifts Aliyan Baal,
 
20.
On the shoulders of Anath She places Him,
 
21.
She raises Him into the heights of Saphon.
 
22.
She weeps for Him and buries Him.
 
23.
She puts Him in the grave of the Gods of the earth.
 
24.
She sacrifices seventy buffaloes As an offering for Aliyan Baal.
 
25.
She sacrifices seventy oxen As an offering for Aliyan Baal.
 
26.
She sacrifices seventy head of small cattle As an offering for Aliyan Baal.
 
27.
She sacrifices seventy deer As an offering for Aliyan Baal.
 
28.
She sacrifices seventy wild goats As an offering for Aliyan Baal.
 
29.
She sacrifices seventy asses As an offering for Aliyan Baal.
