Chapter 4 |
| |
1. |
And Jesus said: The first power, the glory of the Universe, the perfect glory in the ages, the glory of the revelation, she glorified the pure Mind and it was she who praised him, because thanks to him she had come forth.
2. |
This is the first thought, his image; she became the womb of everything,
3. |
For it is she who is prior to them all, the Mother-Father, the first man, the holy Spirit, the thrice-male, the thrice-powerful, the thrice-named androgynous one, and the eternal age among the invisible ones, and the first to come forth.
4. |
She requested from the invisible, pure Mind - that is Universe - to give her foreknowledge.
5. |
And the pure Mind consented.
6. |
And when he had consented, the foreknowledge came forth,
7. |
And it stood by the forethought; it originates from the thought of the invisible, pure Mind.
8. |
It glorified him and his perfect power, Universe, for it was for her sake that it had come into being.
9. |
And she requested again to grant her indestructibility, and he consented.
10. |
When he had consented, indestructibility came forth, and it stood by the thought and the foreknowledge.
11. |
It glorified the invisible One and Universe, the one for whose sake they had come into being.
12. |
And Universe requested to grant her eternal life.
13. |
And the pure Mind consented.
14. |
And when he had consented, eternal life came forth,
15. |
And they attended and glorified the pure Mind and Universe, the one for whose sake they had come into being.
16. |
And she requested again to grant her truth.
17. |
And the pure Mind consented.
18. |
And when he had consented, truth came forth, and they attended and glorified the invisible, excellent Mind and his Universe, the one for whose sake they had come into being.
19. |
This is the story of the ages of the Father, which is the first man, the image of the invisible Mind;
20. |
It is the forethought, which Universe, and the thought, and the foreknowledge, and the indestructibility, and the eternal life, and the truth. |
21. |
This is the androgynous story of the ages, which is the creation of the ages, which is the Father.
