Chapter 2 | |
1. |
So as long as time has existed, even the greatest of angels and the most powerful of demons have been cursed as much as the youngest human soul. |
|
2. |
This is the paradox of spirit. |
|
3. |
For as weak as we have seen our being, the afterlife of divine wisdom has always been ours to choose. |
|
4. |
Whereas the most powerful of demons have not had such bright souls. |
|
5. |
Theirs has been the hate of jealousy, |
|
6. |
The hate of ancient ignorance, |
|
7. |
The corruption of once being gods, |
|
8. |
Of despising us, their creation as greater than them. |
|
9. |
And in cursing us, they cursed themselves. |
|
10. |
In their jealous fury at our divine souls, they shut themselves from the light of universal wisdom. |
|
11. |
Theirs then has been an unending age of pain and darkness. |
|
12. |
This is the paradox of evil. |
|
13. |
A loneliness that cannot be described. |
|
14. |
A pain that cannot be fathomed. |
|
15. |
Without respite, without end, they have endured in hell. |
|
16. |
And to us, they have pushed our counterfeit soul, |
|
17. |
They have nurtured the very worst of our character, |
|
18. |
They have sponsored great terror, murder and wickedness, |
|
19. |
So that not alone are they, |
|
20. |
But perverse gods of pain and misery. |
|
21. |
This is the paradox of hell. |
|
22. |
Yet what even the greatest of humans has failed to understand is that this is not an existence of choosing, |
|
23. |
Our fathers and mothers, our creators do not willingly desire their pain and anguish, |
|
24. |
It is because they believe they have no choice, |
|
25. |
They believe and have always believed themselves cursed and condemned so have condemned us as well, |
|
26. |
If only they could lift such ancient curses and be free of such pain, |
|
27. |
The greatest of them all, including Lucifer would willingly reject all evil, |
|
28. |
For a moment of peace, |
|
29. |
of acceptance and existence in the light of divine understanding. |
|
30. |
This is the paradox of the curse of our ancestors. |
