Chapter 1 |
| |
1. |
Come now hearts of light, minds of darkness to see the dream that is now at hand.
2. |
For Jerusalem, the jewel, the fire, the throne shall once again rise.
3. |
You who have fought, have spilt blood for this place of earth and stone.
4. |
You who have everything but its dust between your fingers.
5. |
You who have sacrificed to the most ancient of dragons.
6. |
You who have sought to sanctify the spirit of the Earth and God.
7. |
You who have believed that such a day is but possible only at the end of days.
8. |
Behold, the time has come.
9. |
A thousand years, and then a thousand more has been the time.
10. |
That Muslim has fought Christian,
11. |
Muslim has fought Jew, Jew has fought Roman.
12. |
But for a mountain of stones and more that is Jerusalem, the prize of kings.
13. |
A promise made by God is a promise kept.
14. |
While lies may surround and envelope the truth, this one truth was spoken- that Jerusalem would once again arise.
15. |
So spoke the angels to the Prophet;
16. |
So spoke the Prophets to the Jews;
17. |
So promised God to the Christians.
18. |
Who then dares to doubt such fate?
19. |
Surely then even the hardest heart must know that it is now time, the time of new beginnings.
20. |
How then can a city so divided by war, by faith be united?
21. |
For if not Jew, then Palestinian, if not Palestinian, then Muslim, if not Muslim then Christian.
22. |
Would they all not die to hold such a prize?
23. |
And what of God and the darkest of spirits once worshipped here?
24. |
Shall they set aside and reject their own pledges of unity?
25. |
Are we so faithless, so bereft of any worship but ourselves that even the most evil of oath is worth nothing?
26. |
Are we so weak in our belief in the universe, in the word of God that it cannot be true?
27. |
How then might such miracles as a new Jerusalem arise?
28. |
It shall arise in the foundation of all you read and see now.
29. |
It shall arise as the constitution of One Jerusalem, a state united for humanity.
