Chapter 1 |
| |
1. |
In the name of the One God, |
2. |
the God of Abraham, |
3. |
the God of Akhenaten, |
4. |
the God of David, |
5. |
the God of the Prophets, |
6. |
the God of the Messiahs, |
7. |
the God of all Christians and the God of all Jews , |
8. |
let is be so that these words are true. |
9. |
That the truth, the one truth that rings true to all the different followers of the One God might be spoken.
10. |
That they might listen to these words.
11. |
For we have become a faith divided between those of differing interpretation and practice.
12. |
We have become enslaved by institutions and doctrine that has tarnished the words of ultimate truth and compassion of God
13. |
We have become confused by confusing signs and claims of your word and your rules, when in the end they were merely the claims of mortal men.
14. |
We have become divided and bitter. |
15. |
We have become churches of great wealth and power.
16. |
We have become intoxicated with our own importance and the importance of maintaining doctrine and tradition.
17. |
We have lost our way as to the primary purpose of our organisation and that is to live by your word and honor your name.
18. |
We have become supremely arrogant in the face of God, the one God to which we all agree all life and existence is owed.
19. |
We have become supremely ignorant of his purpose and his creation.
20. |
We have raised ourselves as gods of our own image and power.
21. |
And yet in our divided ways, we are united in one central belief as to the future coming of a Messiah,
22. |
one who will unite us again, |
23. |
one who will lead us to salvation, |
24. |
one who will reveal the wisdom of the universe and mind of God, |
25. |
one who will judge those who have done evil, |
26. |
one who will bring a renewed Jerusalem, a One Jerusalem, |
27. |
one who will raise up the dead and save our souls, |
28. |
one who will inspire us by being truly most holy, |
29. |
one who will save us . |
30. |
These are the common beliefs of our common ancestors and the prophets and saints of our different faiths.
31. |
These are the hopes and beliefs that unite us whereas our churches and doctrines divide us. |
32. |
For both Christians and Jews believe in the coming of a messiah, |
33. |
And both Christians and Jews believe in one God, |
34. |
And both Christians and Jews believe in the coming of the End of Days. |
35. |
And it is these beliefs that unite us that are greater than those that divide us. |
36. |
For if God is to be believed, if our individual faiths are to be believed, then a time will come when the prophecies shall be fulfilled. |
37. |
This is the time of One Faith, this is the time of the End and the Beginning. |
38. |
This is the time of greatness, where miracles and signs shall be seen by those blessed to live these Days. |
39. |
The coming of a new covenant, a final covenant, a lasting covenant between God and humanity. |
40. |
That never again shall we be alone, nor divided, nor cursed. |
